Wishpond: Making Waves in Lead Generation and Automation | Marketing Technology

Wishpond: Making Waves in Lead Generation and Automation | Marketing Technology | The MarTech Digest | Scoop.it
One disrupter in the industry that we like is Wishpond. Why? Well, how about we open up that it’s free to use for small businesses with less than 200 contacts in their database. And by free, we’re not talking limited functionality – it comes with import tools, email marketing, landing pages, marketing automation, website popups, forms, and lead management.

The next paid tier with 1,000 contacts adds CRM synchronization, export tools, social promotions, A/B testing, and the ability to customize your stylesheets and Javascript. Get to their pro level – which is $77 per month with five users and 2,500 contacts, and you’ve full API access. And move up beyond 10,000 contacts you can have unlimited users, and a tiered pricing system for the number of contacts you have.

Not to mention, they also have productized integrations with Salesforce, Infusionsoft, Insightly, Batchbook, Highrise, Pipedrive, Contactually, Base CRM, SalesforceIQ, OnePage CRM, Close.io, and Clio. Email marketing integrations include MailChimp, AWeber, GetResponse, Constant Contact, Benchmark, Campaign Monitor, VerticalResponse, Eventbrite, Mad Mimi, ActiveCampaign, and Emma. They also have help desk app integrations with Uservoice, survey integrations with SurveyMonkey, and webinar app integrations with ClickWebinar, and GoToWebinar. Not to mention Slack integration. And Wishpond just announced its Twilio integrations for phone and SMS.

Wishpond: Marketing Automation Made Simple - The Hub

Wishpond: Marketing Automation Made Simple - The Hub | The MarTech Digest | Scoop.it

Wishpond's focus is lead generation, and associated strategies like the quick and easy creation of landing pages. It offers a range of templates and forms which can be customized by dragging and dropping text, images, videos. It's a CSS-based approach, requiring no coding skill, and there's A/B testing functionality.

Data generated by emails and webpages created within Wishpond is aggregated in a leads database, which gives a chronological view of activity by prospects. There's no social listening solution: the intention is to provide integration with platforms like Hootsuite. It's possible to use APIs to incorporate external data, like activity within apps. Salesforce integration, said Steeves, is coming soon.

The marketing automation element of Wishpond, represented by a workflow creation wizard. is "the workhorse of the platform. It allows you to create workflows based on any information you have about your leads." Users can schedule automated sending of assets to prospects, as well as internal emails to update sales team members on lead activity.

In addition to the basic free package, pricing rises through intermediate stages, and tops out at $144 per month for unlimited numbers or leads and users.

CYDigital's insight:

Many low cost solutions, and a few freemium models as well. The key is not the feature set nor the pricing, but the EASE OF USE!
